In the heart of Bristol, the site known as “the floating harbour”, was occupied by an old disused brewery and had resisted development, stagnating in the centre of a vibrant and evolving city.
This five-acre city centre brownfield site, formally the Old Courage, is now to be redeveloped as an employment-led regeneration project. Following extensive negotiations with the city authorities and stakeholder consultation, the long-lost medieval street pattern will be reinstated within the masterplan and form the framework for this vibrant new city quarter.
New build accommodation is sympathetically dovetailed within the existing listed buildings on the site to provide a balanced mix including 450,000 square feet of offices, 378 flats, retail and leisure uses and 450 underground parking spaces.
